Relaxing Massage Therapy

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a deeply relaxing holistic therapy that focuses on the head, neck, shoulders, upper back and face—areas where we commonly hold tension and stress. Rooted in ancient Ayurvedic traditions, this treatment uses a combination of gentle strokes, kneading, and pressure techniques to release built-up tension, improve circulation, and promote a sense of calm.

The treatment can be performed with or without oils and is typically carried out while you are  lying comfortably. It not only helps to ease physical tightness but also encourages mental clarity and emotional balance.

It is a great treatment for any overthinkers or if you have anxiety.

What to Expect During an Indian Head Massage?

Your Indian Head Massage experience is designed to be deeply relaxing and restorative from the moment you arrive.

At the start of your session, your therapist will have a brief consultation with you to discuss your needs, preferences, and any health considerations. This ensures the treatment is tailored specifically to you.

You will then be invited to sit comfortably in a chair or lie on a treatment couch, depending on your preference. The massage is usually performed over light clothing, though oils may be used on the scalp if desired.

The treatment focuses on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, and face. Your therapist will use a variety of techniques, including gentle kneading, rhythmic strokes, and pressure point work to release tension and improve circulation.

During the massage, you may experience:

  • A deep sense of relaxation

  • Warmth or tingling as circulation improves

  • Relief from tightness in the neck and shoulders

  • A calm, quiet mind
